Arbor nuts hold the rotor stack tight against the arbor, and a worn one lets everything shift mid-cut. We stock nuts for Ammco lathes plus Van Norman, Accu-Turn, and FMC machines.
The arbor carries the brake rotor through every pass, so a scored or bent shaft shows up as chatter in your finish. Find replacement arbors for major brands here.
Small replacement part items live here, including brass plugs, springs, knobs, and toggle switches. Search by part numbers when you already know which component failed.
Boring bars and guide bars set the depth and travel of your drum work, and worn studs throw that alignment off. We carry bars, studs, and clamps for Ammco machines.
A worn nut gives you sloppy cross-feed travel and inconsistent cut depth. Choose old style or new style nuts for Ammco, plus feed screw nuts for FMC and John Bean lathes.
Feed motors, worm drives, and the shear gear in your right angle drive all wear with use. Replace them before a stalled feed puts the machine down for a week.
Drive pulleys move power from the motor to the spindle, and a slipping belt often traces back to a worn pulley. The aluminum pulley set ships with a matched belt and set screws.
Shafts, studs, and rods take the load every time you clamp and cut. Swapping worn hardware brings the machine back to its original configuration.
You should not have to gamble on a part fitting. Every listing shows interchangeable part numbers, so you can match an Ammco model 4000 replacement part to its OEM number in about thirty seconds. That direct access to real fitment data is what separates us from other sellers, where you are squinting at stock photos and hoping. When a part goes, pull it and look at what it touches. A failing feed screw usually chews the nut riding on it, and a slipping belt often points back to a scored pulley. Order both together, and you open the machine once instead of twice, which means one afternoon of downtime rather than two. Installation rewards a little patience. Clean the mating surfaces, confirm the center hole and mounting faces sit flat, and torque the fasteners evenly. Spin the machine empty and listen before you cut rotors again. The smartest shops keep spindle boots, belts, and springs on the shelf, because those wear out on their own schedule and never on yours. A rotor silencer band runs a few dollars and kills chatter on a larger rotor, where extra rotor mass and vibration fight your finish every pass.
Our brake lathe parts fit major brands including Ammco lathes, Accu-Turn, FMC, John Bean, Hunter, Van Norman, and Kwikway. Check the interchangeable part numbers on each listing to confirm fitment with your equipment.
Match the number stamped on the old component to the part numbers shown on our product pages. If that number has worn off, our downloadable parts manuals cover Ammco models 3000, 4000, 4100, 7500, and others.
Chatter usually comes from a worn arbor, a loose arbor nut, dull bits, or a larger rotor with enough rotor mass to vibrate. A rotor silencer band damps that vibration while you cut rotors.
The shear gear in an Ammco right angle drive is designed to break first and protect the feed components behind it. Keeping a spare on the shelf turns a lost day into a ten-minute repair.
Replace it once the cross feed handle develops play or your cut depth drifts. Ammco lathe owners can choose old-style or new-style nuts, and drum feed screw nuts are available for FMC machines.
Yes. Spindle boots keep grit off the spindle, and drive belts pair with our aluminum pulley set. Both sit under Consumable Parts alongside tool holders, bits, and silencers.
Rotors mount through the center hole using cones and an adapter set, backed by an arbor nut. Hub-centric clamping keeps a light truck rotor running true during heavy-duty work.
Machines with the 6950 twin cutter setup use left- and right-hand negative rake tool holders, and we stock both. Matched holders keep each rotor face cutting evenly and protect lathe performance.
Beyond brake lathes, our shop carries tire changers, wheel balancers, and alignment parts, including cones and backing plates, plus tools and daily shop supplies for the service bay.
