How to Choose Lug-Centric Balancing Adapters

When you buy a lug-centric system, start with your wheel balancer shaft diameter. Every SpeedPlate here is built for a 40mm shaft. Confirm your machine matches before you order. Match the plate to the bolt pattern and lug count you service most, then decide between a standard threaded shaft and an automatic clamping shaft. The clamping shaft mounts each wheel faster on a busy day, while the threaded version keeps the price down. Installation is straightforward. The plate indexes on the lug holes and torques down like a real wheel, so the tire sits the same way it does on the vehicle. That contact point is what gives you accurate balancing and fewer comebacks on truck wheels and larger assemblies. For service, keep spare torque tips and a replacement collet on the shelf, since tips take the wear. When a tip rounds off, swap it instead of replacing the plate.
